Deb Beaton-Smith is the Executive Director for the British Columbia Music Festival Collective. Deb started Beat Music Management in Saanich, BC eighteen years ago to provide artist and event management and has focused on opportunities that develop and build expertise and knowledge transfer in the music industry. She was an artist manager for over a decade and, ran small and large-scale events. Deb has been a Creative BC Outreach Consultant & Grant Coach, BC Touring Council Trainer, Juror for the Junos, FACTOR, MusiCounts, Creative BC & Canadian Folk Music Awards and was a Director of Music BC for four years.
