Natasha Roldán is a Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter based in Toronto. Her music draws from the influences of jazz and traditional Latin American and European music with an alternative touch. In 2023, she was selected as one of RBC's Music Launchpad and Small World Music Incubator Artists, and as an official showcase artist at the Folk Music Ontario Conference. Natasha’s new self-produced album Ya No Estoy Aquí, shares stories about migration, revolution, love, and the Colombian conflict. This record was produced by Natasha alongside Colombian musician Jorge Gil Arias and received support from the Ontario Arts Council. Previously her EP No Apologies debuted on radios across Canada before its official release, including a special feature on Jazz FM’s Jazzology. Jorge and Natasha also collaborated in creating Songs to Travel the World, a performance project exploring traditional songs from abroad in different languages and genres. Natasha has been awarded the Ella Fitzgerald Award for Jazz Performance and the Sorbara Award in Music. She was also a two-time nominee for best jazz In addition to her artistic career, Natasha has valuable experience working in several areas of the music and arts industry including the non-profit & funding sector, radio, volunteer management, concert production, and consulting.
