Toronto artist Davis MacKinlay has carved a distinctive path for herself in the music scene as a singer-songwriter. Her work effortlessly fuses genres, blending elements of pop and country music, with a style that's uniquely her own. After forming a band, The MacKinlays, with her sisters in 2013, MacKinlay has performed her original songs for audiences across North America. Her musical endeavors led her to graduate from Fanshawe’s Music Industry Arts program in 2021. From her debut release in 2021, MacKinlay's artistry has grown by leaps and bounds. Her single 'Goodbye' demonstrated her knack for creating poignant, relatable lyrics enriched by memorable melodies. The same year she released 'Dreamin'', a tune filled with upbeat melodies and catchy hooks leaving listeners always coming back for more. MacKinlay carried this momentum into 2023, surprising fans with 'Your Type.' This song offered something new - a deeper exploration into personal themes, highlighting her versatility. Just when audiences thought they knew what to expect, MacKinlay revealed yet another side of her craft with 'Think Of Me' in 2024. Drawing from her country roots, this track blended simple melodies and lush harmonies with emotive storytelling, introducing a new level of musical depth.
