Emma Rush is “widely regarded as one of Canada’s premier classical guitarists” (Vivascene Magazine) and her career has commanded worldwide recognition through performances in Europe, China, Mexico, the USA, and across Canada. Rush’s music has been heard on CBC’s In Concert and About Time, NPR’s Classical Guitar Alive!, and Radio France and she has been featured in Classical Guitar Magazine, Fretboard Journal, Record World, and Gitarr och Luta. Multiple arts organizations back her work, including the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Hamilton City Enrichment Fund, and FACTOR.
An avid independent researcher, Rush frequently performs and lectures at music festivals, colleges, and universities. Her previous recordings A Dream of Colour, Wake the Sigh, Canadiana, and Folklórica can be heard on all major streaming services.
