Kendra Martinussen (she/her) is a Métis and Manitoban-based musician currently pursuing a bachelor of Music Education with a focus in Jazz Studies at Brandon University in Brandon, MB.

Kendra grew up in Thompson, MB and began playing clarinet at the age of twelve. Shortly after beginning the clarinet, she picked up the bass clarinet and tenor saxophone. In 2019 and 2020 Kendra successfully auditioned into the National Youth Band of Canada. Additionally, Kendra has had the opportunity of learning from international and national Jazz luminaries such as Ken Gold, Greg Gatien, Claire Devlin, Luis Deniz, and Catherine Wood (classical clarinet).

Kendra can be found playing music in both Brandon and Winnipeg. She frequently works as side women playing Rock N' Roll and R&B gigs with Route 10 Collective and will be making an appearance with a Huey Lewis and the News tribute band at the 2024 Rockin' the Fields of Minnedosa festival. Additionally Kendra played lead tenor in the highly acclaimed Brandon University Big Band for two years, and can also be found doing gigs around Brandon in traditional Jazz styles and formations like quintets, trios and duos.
