Sarah Atkinson is the co-founder of SoundBox Music, an artist services company based in Halifax, NS. She began her career in the music industry over a decade ago as a vocal artist and artist manager. After ten years of recording and touring Canada and abroad, Sarah moved to Halifax where she transferred her passion for working with folk and country artists to working with Nova Scotian rock, folk and punk-rock bands and is currently the marketing manager at Halifax-based, classical record label, Leaf Music.

Through SoundBox Music, she is able to focus on assisting artists with the strategic side of the music industry and helps connect musicians with the tools and resources needed to help their career. Expanding upon her passion for helping artists and young industry professionals, Sarah teaches in the Creative Industries Department at NSCC - Ivany Campus and currently sits on the board of directors as the treasurer at Music Nova Scotia.
