Katie Seline is a partner and the Managing Director at Music Rights Clearance in Montreal. She is responsible for all aspects of the business including relationships with MRC clients and project lifecycles including music supervision and clearance for advertising, film, and television. Getting her start as an intern at MTV in their legal and business affairs department, Katie has worked in the music and media industry for over fifteen years. After some time in radio as the General Manager of Concordia University's campus/community radio station, CJLO 1690AM, Katie shifted to licensing music for multi-national tech companies like TouchTunes and Stingray, clearing everything from music for jukeboxes and karaoke to concerts for on-demand broadcast. She has also been a board member and strategic consultant for the Concordia Student Broadcasting Corporation for several years and has experience as an instructor in the Music Business program at Trebas Institute. Katie holds a BA in Communications from Concordia University, an MA in Music Business from NYU, and a certificate in Copyright from Harvard University. She enjoys kittens, ice cream, big beats, and fuzzy guitars.
