Laura Rae dances between genres, influenced equally by soulful Nora Jones as rock legends Fleetwood Mac. Her lyrics express everyday life, from grief to grandiose tales of walking away and everything in between. Originally from Ottawa, Laura found home in Nova Scotia in 2014, where she spent five years collecting stories for her eventual return to songwriting. Her debut single Didn't Know reached #1 on The East Coast Countdown, and was among the top 100 songs of the year in 2021 on CIOE.
