We are a thriving Vancouver-based music management company representing high-caliber, internationally acclaimed touring and recording artists, seeking a Day-to-Day Assistant based in Toronto, ON. Build your career in the music industry with this exciting entry-level position!
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will serve as a Day-to-Day Assistant, supporting and reporting to both Wener Mgmt’s Owner, and Day-to-Day Manager. The position is a hybrid role, largely work from home with 1-2 days per week in-office.
You will assist across various areas, including but not limited to:
- Touring logistics and coordination
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Marketing strategy development
- Distribution and promotion
- Publicity management
- Royalty tracking and publishing
- Digital and social media strategy
- Tech support and digital asset management
- Contracting and visa applications
- Data management and analysis
- Securing funding and grants
- General administrative tasks
Key Administrative Responsibilities:
- General assistant duties as directed
- Schedule and calendar management
- Setting up conference calls, call times, and meetings
- Scheduling personal and professional appointments and meetings
- Organizing and maintaining contact information
- Organizing paperwork and travel grant applications
- Coordinating and booking travel, ensuring all travel protocols are met
- Managing travel rewards programs and tracking travel expenses
- Computer backups, junk mail checks, and general tech maintenance
- Handling expense reports and mail distribution
- SOCAN/PRO setlist reporting for artists and tracking travel rebills
- Managing password logs and other administrative duties
Skills & Experience Required:
- Resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, and a drive to grow your career
- Interest in the music industry and artist management
- Experience in the music industry is a bonus but not required
- Exceptionally organized with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Capable of managing a large volume of tasks
- Ability to handle challenging situations, be proactive, troubleshoot, and problem-solve
- Knowledge of MS Office and Mac computers is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit team
- Availability outside of regular office hours
