A passionate, wholehearted performer known for her "vibrant cello playing" (The Whole Note), cellist Erika Nielsen has a multi-faceted career as a chamber musician, collaborative artist, orchestral player, and educator. Her musicianship spans from Baroque and Classical traditions to contemporary and popular genres. In 2022 Erika made her Soulpepper Theatre debut with The Golden Record featuring the Slaight Music Associates.

Erika is a Dora-nominated musical theatre musician, and has recorded for a breadth of artists and for film and TV. She performs frequently with The Musical Stage Company, Classic Albums Live, ELO tribute Strange Magic, and Rezonance Baroque Ensemble.
