Sherisse the Dragon is an artist, concert/event & festival producer and curator with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. She has built a dynamic career across concert/event production, festival curation, directing, and cultural programming, known for pushing creative boundaries and amplifying diverse voices.
Currently, Sherisse is a Producer at Fever’s Candlelight Concerts - Sherisse produces Canada’s largest Candlelight market “Toronto” and produces/manages shows across Toronto, and the entire province of Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Her tenure has been marked by innovation: curating and producing Candlelight’s first ever Neo Soul and Spoken Word concert in Canada tapping into new disciplines and curating a cohesive experience, developing the Candlelight: Kings of R&B program — a nationwide hit that has sold out in multiple instances and tapped into a new demographic, facilitated a ground breaking partnership with Sankofa Square and produced the brand’s first ever concert at an outdoor winter festival. Her leadership, and innovation continues to shape how audiences experience Candlelight across the country, expanding its reach while preserving its intimate magic.
Beyond Fever, Sherisse’s career has included pivotal roles such as Artist & Repertoire at Sony Music Canada, Guest Curator at North by Northeast (NXNE), and Program Coordinator at Nia Centre for the Arts, where she designed and delivered programs blending music, theatre, and visual art. She is also the creative force behind La Maison Noire, an immersive concert-house project blending live music, storytelling, and cultural celebration.
Her production credits span dozens of performances, festivals, and cultural showcases, including For the Love of Our Words, Homecoming, The Mixtape Vol. 1 Album Release Party, and multiple sold-out concerts in Toronto, Montreal, and across the U.S. With expertise across genres — from R&B, neo-soul, and jazz to reggae, soca, and funk — Sherisse brings both versatility and depth to every stage she curates.
Holding a Master’s in Performing Arts from AMDA, a Bachelor’s in Sound Engineering from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and a Bachelor’s in Creative Industries from Toronto Metropolitan University, Sherisse combines academic excellence with real-world artistry and production expertise.
Operating under her chosen name, Sherisse the Dragon, she embodies resilience, inclusivity, and fierce creative vision. Her mission is to create transformative live experiences that celebrate culture, champion representation, and leave audiences changed.
