Hi, I’m Anastasiia Zhemchugova, a Ukrainian lawyer currently pursuing my legal education in Canada with the goal of becoming a licensed attorney in Ontario, specializing in entertainment and media law.
Before moving to Canada in 2022, I spent several years practicing migration and corporate law in Ukraine, which allowed me to build a strong foundation in legal practice. In addition to my legal experience, I’ve had the opportunity to live and study in both Czechia and China, further broadening my global perspective. These experiences have not only shaped my approach to law but have also made me a mature student with a unique understanding of different cultures and legal systems.
I’ve always been deeply passionate about art, music, and media, which led me to pursue a career in entertainment law. During an internship at a media company in Kyiv, I worked on advertising compliance, legal research, and intellectual property rights cases for artists, sparking my interest in the intersection of law and creativity. Now, as a student at Osgoode Hall Law School, I’m focused on specializing in entertainment law, with the ambition to secure an articling position at a firm that supports creative professionals.
