dj5rivers, also known as Nivie Singh, is a non-binary, queerdo settler displaced from the land of five rivers (5aab/Punjab). They are an entrepreneur, film producer, DJ, spoken word poet and curator hailing from Tkaronto.

Co-Founder of Pineapple Express Media (PEMedia) and Aux Tale Gravy Music Group (ATG), dj5rivers continues their work in the music industry. With a strong background in disribution and marketing, dj5rivers has worked for independent labels, gaining an intimate understanding of the music industry. They have worked as A&R for The Certified Bad Guys with Nycesound Production Inc, as Label Manager for Ishkōdé Records with Universal Music Canada, as Marketing Manager at Leaf Music Inc. They have a background in radio with their own show and as Operations Director for CKDU 88.1FM.

dj5rivers has over (10) years of experience with music distribution, digital marketing & artist development. Working with emerging and well-seasoned/established artists alike. They have served as a Board of Director for organizations such as Thunder Pride, Halifax Pride, Obey Convention (now Everyseeker), StART Festival, Nocturne Halifax & have worked with organizations like Youth Art Connection, Adsum House for Women & Children and ArtBar. dj5rivers is dedicated to building a bridge across communities, abilities and skill sets.

dj5rivers produced and directed a docuseries with Pineapple Express Media titled Issa Scotian Ting': on the evolution of hip hop sound through the African Nova Scotian experience (set to release in Summer 2025).
