Kate Spencer (she/her/elle) is a singer and arts administrator. She is the Administrative Director for the Choirs for Change Association and is proud to provide strategic consulting services for Camerata. As a lifelong singer Kate’s areas of focus include music theatre, opera, and folk. Along the way, she’s been fortunate enough to learn from some of Canada’s best vocal performers and instructors, including Victor Martens and Fred Love. Kate lived in Toronto before moving to Halifax, where she earned a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University, worked in marketing for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and performed with the VOCA Chorus of Toronto. Since moving to Halifax and joining Camerata in the fall of 2021 she has had the pleasure of singing with several city choirs, including the Halifax Camerata Singers, Galileo Baroque Choir, and Eastern Horizon.
