The Listening Party: Music Producer Showcase Series (7th Edition)

This event series is designed for music creators, fans, industry, media and general public to gather in an informal club setting to enjoy a curated playlist of both established and emerging music producer talent from diverse communities. Pro studio monitors are brought in to a welcoming community space.

Selected showcasing producers are in attendance to experience the rare thrill of a live audience responding to their creations: sometimes it's rapt attention, sometimes it's hip shaking, but it's always a welcoming atmosphere. Producers are offered opportunity to share an anecdote about their work if they wish or answer a question from listeners.

A producer's craft takes place behind the scenes, often as a sequestered effort. As testimonials verify, the surge of real-time listener appreciation is an empowering, confidence building, career impacting experience. Added value includes the networking and socializing opportunity both between sets and at conclusion of the playlist.

Our focus is on featuring under-represented women+ BIPOC producers however as a truly inclusive initiative all are welcome to submit a track, attend and enjoy! We especially encourage our men allies to join us.

The Listening Party features all genres and both mastered releases and professional demos. Submitted tracks are evaluated by a selection committee of sound professionals. The series also raises the profile of all the talent involved in making a great record: engineers, musicians, singers, lyricists, rappers, studios.

Awareness is the first step to increasing the professional work opportunities and collaborations that boost careers.
