Submissions are now open for WIMCanada Honours 2025

Presented with liaison partners ADVANCE Canada's Black Music Industry Collective, the International Indigenous Music Summit, and ArtHaus, this program prepares women and gender-diverse professionals for executive leadership roles.

This program is intended for mid-level industry professionals, in existing music companies or entrepreneurs, with a primary goal of preparing women and gender diverse music professionals for advancement to senior management and director-level opportunities. This will serve as a catalyst to create an ecosystem with more women and gender-diverse role models and mentors in senior positions. This new national program will especially cater to intersectional women and gender-diverse people who are under-represented in organizational leadership roles in the music industry nationally.

Women in Music Canada and program partners value diversity, equity, and inclusion and welcomes and invites female and gender-diverse folks from diverse backgrounds to apply.

* Enrolment for this program will be a combination of participants with paid registrations through companies, and a portion by participants through scholarships from a juried selection. Space is limited to fifteen participants in total.

The Women in Music Canada Honours program is designed to celebrate and support women and gender diverse Canadian innovators and creators who have outstanding success in their field in the eligibility year (December 2023 through December 2024 for annual based categories).

Submissions must be made through WIM Canada’s application form by the deadline (Monday, December 11, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET). Submissions may be made by the prospective honouree or another Canadian colleague. Only one submission is required to be considered. If multiple submissions are received for the same person, they will be combined to one submission for the jury review. Recipients will be announced at the Women in Music Canada Honours event on March 4, 2025.

Producer Open Call!

Women in Music Canada is seeking a woman or gender-diverse music producer to work in-studio with local artists in Whitehorse, Yukon. Over 1–2 weeks, the selected producer will collaborate on song arrangements, lead recording sessions, and help mentor emerging talent, including hosting Studio 101 sessions for the community.

Producers must have 3+ years of studio experience and strong collaborative skills. Travel and accommodations are covered.

The 2025 Entrepreneur Accelerator including the mentorship program will run online from October 07th through November 18th. Sessions will run from 7:00 PM through 9:00 PM ET (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM PT) Tuesday and Thursday, weekly. Mentorship sessions will run as per specific arranged times by participants.

ED Studio Sessions Open Call: Canadian Music Producer deadline is June 6th, 2025!

Time Frame: 1-2 weeks (June 23-28, June 30-July 5,July 7-12) in studio in Whitehorse Yukon + pre production
Location: Whitehorse, Yukon
Compensation: Producer fee + Accommodations + Airfare

Women in Music Canada is seeking an experienced music producer to work with local artists over a 1-2 week period in Whitehorse, Yukon.  Airfare, accommodations and per diems are covered outside of the producer fees.
