2023 Global Day of the Parents

As a way to celebrate parents in music and to inform and inspire new perspective parents, we are excited to launch this series in honour of Global Day of Parents  on June 1, 2023. Click on the beautiful pics below to hear from these amazing artist and industry mamas.

We plan to use the insights from these parents to advocate for change and to help make the industry more family friendly for all. We thank all parents highlighted here and recognize that we could not have captured all of the incredible work done by mamas in music in one blog. We are committed to using this as a catalyst to do more as we move through this work.

Today, we also launch the Women in Music Canada Parents community on WhatsApp to serve as a connector for parents and perspective parents to share questions, advice, and knowledge to build support within the community.
